\"Raffles<\/a>Siem Reap, Cambodia, June 12, 2026 \/ TRAVELINDEX \/ Raffles Grand Hotel d\u2019Angkor, the iconic luxury hotel<\/a> in Cambodia\u2019s cultural heartland, has welcomed renowned contemporary Khmer painter Nou Sary as its new Resident Artist.<\/p>\n

A master of form and sentiment, Sary began his formal training at the Royal University of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh. He later refined his vision in France at the Saint-\u00c9tienne School of Art and Design, earning his postgraduate degree in 2006. He was awarded a Bronze Medal from the Society of French Artists in Paris in 2005, selected from among 2,000 artists around the world.<\/p>\n

Sary\u2019s impressionist paintings frequently portray Cambodia\u2019s traditional rural life\u2014rice fields, farmers, monks and village scenes\u2014capturing the deep connection between people and the land. His expressive brushstrokes and use of vibrant colour bring the countryside to life. Many of his most recent works adopt a bird\u2019s-eye perspective, offering fresh viewpoints on familiar landscapes and inviting reflection on humanity\u2019s relationship with nature.<\/p>\n

A selection of Sary\u2019s acrylic-on-canvas paintings is now on display at the hotel and available for purchase. Hotel guests and local visitors are invited to experience this remarkable collection firsthand with an on-site hotel art tour, which can be arranged in advance through the Raffles\u2019 Resort Programme.<\/p>\n

This announcement builds on several recent developments for the hotel. Earlier this month, Raffles Grand Hotel d\u2019Angkor was named one of the world\u2019s \u2018500 Best Hotels<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

In March, the hotel unveiled the immersive new \u2018Grand Path of History\u2019 tour featuring rare photographs, video footage, architectural drawings and more.
