London, United Kingdom, January 15, 2022 \/ TRAVELINDEX \/ Julia Simpson, WTTC President & CEO said: \u201cWTTC welcomes the reopening of French borders to UK travellers. Once a variant is endemic closing borders is pointless and only damages livelihoods especially in travel and tourism one of the hardest hit sectors during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrance is one of the biggest markets for UK tourists who, according to WTTC\u2019s 2021 Economic Impact Report, account for 14% of overseas visitors. Total international visitor spend in France was worth more than \u20ac60BN pre-pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n
